JAMES M. LEFAVOUR is a Native of Atlanta, Georgia. Being proud of his Southern Heritage, Jimmy was thrilled to be arriving back "Home" in 1996 after almost two decades spent on the West Coast, primarily in Los Angeles, where he wore many different hats in the Music Business.
As an Artist/Songwriter, Jimmy performed and recorded his own material for many years starting after college in small clubs and venues around Atlanta and the Southeast U.S. before moving to L.A. in 1979. He continued to perform and tour on the West Coast as well as Nationally. Over the course of his time in Los Angeles, he built several recording studios, the last of which was Nirvana Productions where he was not only writing for himself as an artist, but also writing, producing, arranging and recording many other artists and working on TV/Film Projects including Shields and Yarnell Las Vegas Live Show Music Production as well as writing and recording the Music and Concept for the Giorgio Of Beverly Hills "RED" Perfume "Break Out" Marketing Promotional Commercial in 1989.
During his time in L.A., Jimmy was recognized for his contributions as a Producer and Songwriter by The Independent Music Makers Association three times in five years being awarded "for his contributions in the art of music". He held a Professional Membership with the Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase sponsored by BMI for over a dozen years, in addition to working several stints for various publishing companies as a staff writer. During that time, Jimmy garnered multiple awards from The American Song Festival for excellence in creative writing, originality, technical skill and talent in composition. Jimmy also has enjoyed his association with NARAS and the Grammy Awards as well as being a long time member of the Musicians Union.
Since his move back to Atlanta in 1996, Jimmy has been working as a Record Producer, Songwriter, Musician and Audio Engineer from his private recording studio, Edgewater Records, which he personally designed and built over a four year period of time in which every room of the over 2400 square foot complex is sonically Tuned and Treated according to his specifications. Edgewater Records Studios has been recognized by MIX Magazine for its excellence and accuracy in the art of studio design and recording. At Edgewater, Jimmy acts as the President and CEO of Atlanta Record Productions, LLC (A.R.P.) and works along side his wife Ania LeFavour, who not only manages the Edgewater Records facility but was instrumental in the design and construction phases of the building. The studio houses the LeFavourite Music Publishing Catalog (BMI) as well as being the World Class Recording Environment that it is with a focus on providing the best options in Microphones and Preamps including Vintage Neve 1073's and SSL preamps in addition to the entire "BPM Designer Line" of Neumann Mics. In addition to his duties at Edgewater Records & A.R.P., Jimmy is currently serving his 18th Consecutive Term as Board Chairman of the Georgia Music Industry Association (GMIA.org) where he has been fortunate enough to work side by side with many great GMIA Presidents over his tenure including Vicki Wisecup, Stephie Rae Grenier, Tom Long, Cappriccieo M. Scates, DJ Eddie "F" Ferrell, Nino Villanova, and Ronnie Winstead. Jimmy has also served at SAE (The School of Audio Engineering) in Atlanta, Georgia since the school's inception in 2008 as an Instructor, Lecturer and also as a member of the Program Advisory Committee at the SAE Institute Of Technology.

Jimmy and Ania LeFavour also proudly hosted Music Producer/Writer Shama Joseph (Sak Pase) "Writers In Da House" @ Edgewater Records Studios during the Rihanna "Man Down", Kanye West & Jay-Z Grammy period in 2012 when Edgewater Records offered the studio for a week long Writers Camp thru Sham with with guest labels, Universal, Sony, Motown, Interscope, Warner Brothers & Island Records Music Groups.
A very special and favorite endeavor for Mr. LeFavour is "Giving Back" which he has enjoyed over the past ten years and continues to the present by Jimmy's involvement with DELVIS, "The World's ONLY 'ELVIS Autistic Entity'" offering thousands of hours in the studio and onstage developing, producing, recording both audio and video, managing DELVIS & also performing as Master of Ceremonies/Emcee for each DELVIS event. DELVIS is globally recognized and lauded as "The Positive Voice & Inspirational Face of Autism Enlightenment" as he lives his mission daily mentoring ALL those with Special Needs and Disabilities, including his own, Autism, thru speaking, preaching and singing his heartfelt personal motto:
"It's Not What You Can't Do, But, What You Can Do!! Find Your Passion, Follow It and Pursue It With ALL YOUR HEART!!!"
James M. LeFavour is a graduate of Christchurch School in Virginia, holds a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University, AND, is a certified N.A.E.T. Holistic Medical Practitioner, as well as being a Proud Life Loyal Sig and Brother in the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. LeFavour's philanthropic endeavors include his roles as founder and Executive Director of The DELVIS Sings For Autism Change Foundation, Inc. as well as continuing his personal mentorship of multiple, burgeoning talented artists/singers and songwriters in addition to many creative up and coming audio engineers.
